Project Description
The Newcastle Museum opened in 2011 following the conversion of three historic railway workshops by architects FJMT
in the downtown Honeysuckle precinct.
The exhibition scheme focussed on the social history galleries including permanent exhibitions dedicated to Work, Play, Transport and Newcastle on the World Stage. The commission also involved the design of the Coal gallery and Beaumont Street - a chronological cross-section
of one of Newcastle's most culturally
vibrant streets.
